Fire and Ice

"And the fireworks begin"

His hands were tucked deep in his pockets, as if restraining them from doing some unspeakable magic … or damage.

She wasn’t quite sure.

What she was sure of was his ability to become more and more delicious by the minute. Thoughts of kissing him flooded her mind.

“Mom, I’ll call you later.”
 She mumbled.

He shattered her attentiveness.

“Noel, wait. What is the address? Phone number?”

“I-I don’t know the address. Look at the caller ID for the phone number.” She waited to hear her mother’s final thoughts on the other line.

“I love you, too. I’ll call you later.” She hung up the phone and got up off the floor. She walked to where he stood.

“You don’t know me. I don’t even know me.” He wasted no time in speaking as he kept his sights on the scene outside the windows.

“You don’t know me either.”

“I could control myself before, but now...” he trailed off.

“Before what?”

He turned around. Sadness overwhelmed his eyes. “Before the accident.”

“My accident?”

He walked away from the window and headed to the loft’s ladder. “No. Mine. The reason I’m out here,” he said as he took off his long sleeve shirt, revealing his tattered black t-shirt he'd worn in the tree house. He draped his discarded garment on the top rung of the ladder and turned around.

“I-I didn’t know you were in an accident too.”

“I was different then. Now, I feel out of control. My emotions, my needs, my thoughts...they’re consuming. That’s why I needed to be alone. Figure things out.”

“I didn’t mean to disturb you. I had no intention of having an accident out here. I had no idea you’d rescue me. I didn’t plan any of this.” She paused and spoke softly. “I’m sorry.”

He continued on with his monologue-like revelation, making no attempt to address her apology. “I find my mind rationalizing. I’m telling myself that somehow you were meant to be here, to help me understand all of it.”

“So, I’m not a mistake like you said earlier?”

“I never said that. I never thought of you as a mistake. The mistake I spoke of was me...for you.”

“I have this craving for you. I-I can’t shut it off. I said no to you earlier thinking that was what I needed to do—exhibit control. But I don’t know if I’m meant to control this.” He reached for the hem of his black shirt, lifted and pulled it up over his head, letting it drop to the floor.

His upper body had rapt her in excitement. Sculpted, with an enchanting helping of chest hair, his unveiling hit every favorite category of how she liked her men. Something about the rugged magnetism that exuded from him proved undeniable. A switch turned on inside of her, dialing up the heat and desire, leaving her parched. Her nipples hardened to the point of aching just from the sight of him. Her body tingled from his words. His eyes on her like no man had ever looked at her before. Her head filled with thoughts, seductive words to say in return, but she said nothing in response.

He walked slowly towards her.

She took a few steps back until she backed up against the wall. She waited, anticipating his arrival.

His course took him straight to her. He planted his feet in a wide stance and stood within a breath’s space of her body.

They were silent, examining one another.

Her chest heaved.
His breath blew hot and fast.

He lifted his hands to frame her face. He hovered mere inches from her flesh, but was careful not to touch her. His fingers moved gracefully in the air, outlining the contours of her face. He stared at her lips with devouring eyes.

Then his fingers touched her.

She let out a whimper.
He teased her, running his pads of his fingertips along her bottom lip. She pressed her lips together, kissing him tenderly.
His fingers explored, tracing her flesh from her lips, down her chin and neck. He leaned in close, allowing his body to press up against hers. Her breath hitched.

The moment arrived.

He took her mouth, savoring it like rain in a hot desert.

She moaned through the kiss.
Soft and delicate, their lips toyed.
They tasted each other in small helpings, relishing the experience. Soon the delicacy faded and they feasted on each other. Deep, rough, and forceful, they kissed, transporting them to an unseen world of ecstasy. She had no concept of time that passed. Her surroundings were non-existent.

In no time, their hands went into action.
She reached down, tugging and pulling on the waistline of his jeans as he reached for hers, undoing the button and pulling down the zipper. He inched the material down from her hips and she took over the rest of the way, freeing herself of her garment.

She leaned back against the wall, revealing that she wore no panties. She settled her eyes on him in a way that said take me.

Grayson made haste with his jeans, exposing his erectness in all its glory. He kicked the garment free from his around his feet and closed in on her. He ravished her mouth as she raised one leg to rest high on his hip. Positioning his hand under her buttocks, he lifted her.

She groaned in both delight and surprise.

She’d had sex in the standing position only once before, but the experience rocked her world. The strength, resilience and stamina the man exhibits in this position just oozed with undeniable masculinity. For her, it boosted the heat to a level that could make her melt in his hands.

She understood her sexuality long ago. She wasn’t one to be the dominator in sex. She loved being taken, controlled and manhandled a bit.

And she loved being a petite form in the hands of a towering man.

Undoubtedly, he fit the bill.

Want to know what happens? It may surprise you.
