BLOOD OF LUNA

"An Unexpected Guest"

For just being rescued from a cave and offered shelter and first aid from a complete stranger, he wasn’t exactly displaying an amount of appreciation in his conversation with me. In fact, he was acting like an asshole.

I stopped and turned around with every intention to put his attitude in check. But when I saw him, my eyes went directly down, using his treasure trail as my guide.

God, he was so naked and so well-endowed.

And he just caught me staring.

“Luna?”

“Shit! Sorry.” I closed my eyes tightly and turned away. I continued to walk without saying a word, thankful that he remained quiet as well.

After a few more minutes of trekking through the rocks, the patch give way to sand once again, and I saw the beginnings of the sea grass that lined my property. Just a few more steps and the outline of the home peeked through the gloominess.

“We’re here!” I said as I put a little spark in my step. Sore ankle or not, I wanted nothing more than to get inside the house. And I knew that my hint of excitement wasn’t only from wanting to get inside to warm up. I wanted to learn more about this mysterious naked man whom I found in the cave.

“Quite a large house for someone to live in on their own. Who else is home, Luna?” he asked as he walked cautiously towards the house.

“I—I live alone. There’s no one. It’s an old bed and breakfast that I hope to get off the ground and running one of these days. Shall we?” I said as I made my way to the door.

BLOOD OF LUNA

When is it real? When is it fantasy?

For Luna Kalen, the line between reality and a dream is hard to recognize.

Recovering from a car accident, the solitude at the coast is meant to be therapeutic. But Luna soon finds it more than her idle mind can handle.

After exploring a dangerous stretch of shoreline, Luna returns home with a mysterious man she discovers in a cave. Little does Luna know that this man is about to fill her world with sinful pleasures…and blood-thirsty vampires.

When reality and fantasy collide, unimaginable dangers lurk, revelations are revealed, and darkest desires are fulfilled. But if you think the happily ever after is the sign of the ending, it’s really only the beginning.

Should Luna have listened to the warning? Do not go into the cave.

Sex Positions and the"O"

Men. I love them. I hate them.

When a man has sex, the equation is:

Sex = Orgasm

For women the equation looks a little more like:

Sex =
[(position) x (minutes)x (rhythm)] + (setting) = ???Orgasm???

The sad truth is that achieving an orgasm for some women takes much more than inserting the peg in the hole, if you get what I mean.

When researching sex positions for love scenes in my books, I am always amazed by the array of positions I find out there. I write erotica...and I never heard of half of these? Am I sex position challenged? So, there I go, clicking on the little cartoon .jpegs of "Overpass", "Head Spinner", and "The Triple Lindy".

Quickly I realize why I'm not familiar with them:

  1. I'm not a contortionist.
  2. OUCH!
  3. You gotta weigh friggen 2 lbs for it to really work.
  4. Gravity is a bitch.
  5. Ummm, that position would have me at a bad naked.

Seems like I'm not the only one that thinks some of those positions are too far out and potentially, impossible. Read this article....totally cracked me up on the theory.

In my search for position varaitions that would actually feel good and is plausible without being a member of the circus, I found a great article that lays out all of the sexual positions to help increase the chances of achieving that big O.

Best Sex Positions for Women

For the guys reading this, position is but one part.

The other part of the experience you contribute to is how you look at her, what you say to her and creating the right mood and atmosphere for this ultimate love making session to take place. Roses, mood lighting, sexy music, incense, lavish bedding, a spiderweb....all of those can
really help with the setting.

I'm kinda thinking I know what most of you will be doing this weekend. Wink Wink!

PS- If you do try the "Overpass", "Head Spinner" or "The Triple Lindy"...don't come to me with the chiropractic bill.

Okay. Did you catch the Spiderweb reference? You may want to check out my books if you haven't already done so. I've got some real good mood setting scenes and some "ideas" that would be sure to ring in the O!

A Wild Love Affair in Italy, One Cruel Twist of Fate #RomanceReads

Highlighting In Between, a contemporary romance drama about being swept away in a love affair that ignites your passion for possibilities, only to be pulled by the sway of family obligations that threaten to undermine your one true desire.
In Between (currently on a 99Cent sale) is book one of the two part Dancing Barefoot series.

An excerpt...(adult content)

They couldn't stop touching each other. All the way to their apartment building they'd take turns pulling each other into alleys or doorways for stolen kisses that promised so much more.

Jacques lifted her off her feet and carried her up the narrow stairway, his lips creating havoc on her neck.

"Careful. You wouldn't want to slip and fall," she teased against his ear. "A fall like that could kill a man."

"Dangerous." He lifted his head and smiled. "What am I going to do with you, Jessica Moriarty?"

In front of her apartment, she slid down his body until her feet were firmly on the floor. His hands were already on her ass beneath the hem of the dress.

"I'm sure you know exactly what to do with me." She turned long enough to unlock the door, enjoying the way his hands moved beneath her dress and over her skin.

Not only was she confident that he knew exactly what to do with her, she had a few things of her own that she wanted to do to him. All of them involved nudity and inhibition.

He kissed the side of her neck, his hands already unsnapping her bra and sliding over her breasts while she locked the door behind them. Dress pushed up to just beneath her shoulders, she took the initiative and ripped it over her head. He moaned his approval while his fingers toyed with her nipples.

Nothing in life had prepared her for this complete surrender. She hadn't known she was capable of it. She pressed her hands against the back of the door and let him touch her as he pleased. Pushing her hair aside, he kissed the back of her neck before running his tongue toward her ear. One hand on her breast, the other moved over her abdomen and slipped beneath her panties.

Smiling, she turned within the circle of his arms and unbuttoned his shirt. This wasn't going to be a one-sided affair. She craved his skin as much as he wanted hers. Tossing it over his shoulders, she pressed her mouth to the center of his chest and indulged in the salty sensation beneath her tongue.

He walked backward until falling on top of the discarded clothes on her bed. "You didn't get a chance to settle in yet."

"Oh, I'm settled." She reached for the zipper on his jeans. "This is how I settle into a new place, just shove it all onto the floor."

He raised an eyebrow, a laugh on his lips as he did as instructed.

Her hand cupped his erection beneath his jeans before bending over to kiss his abdomen. The promise of his hardness drove her to madness.

His hands wrapped themselves in her hair as she yanked his jeans past his hips. Her mouth closed over the tip of his penis that was hard and throbbing against her lips.

He had the body of a Roman God; the fact that he was Belgian meant nothing. Being in Italy, she preferred the Roman idea as she licked his length with deep appreciation for what it was about to do to her.

"Jacques," she whispered against his abdomen, needing him inside her. Fast. Hard. Deep.

Hands still in her hair, he pulled her up until their mouths fused with passion. In one move, he rolled her onto her back and slipped his hand between her thighs.

Their gaze connected through the darkness as his finger moved inside her. He dipped his head to suck on her breast. His fingers moved in and out with a slow rhythm that drove her to the brink. Glancing up, he reached for his discarded jeans for a condom.

"You came prepared," she whispered against his chin.

"I'm an optimist." He smiled in the dark while ripping open the package.

No more words. He rocked into her with a force that pushed her deep into the mattress. She sank her teeth into his shoulder, grabbed his ass, and spread her legs wide. Harder and deeper he thrust into her, his hands propped over her head until he shouted with orgasm.

She arched her back, body shuddering with ecstasy, eyes squeezing shut with the force of pleasure.

He collapsed against her, face buried into the top of her head, and chest heaving with rapid breaths.

She had no more strength, doubted her ability to move. From somewhere deep down in her soul, from the tip of her toes upward, a laugh rolled up and out until she quaked with joy.

He propped himself up on his elbows, smoothed the hair from her face, and smiled. "Is the laughing a good thing?"

"It's the best thing." She leaned up and kissed him, eyes wide open. "I want more wine, then more of you."

"I can deliver both of those things." He winked before slipping himself from her, taking a minute to kiss each breast before pushing away from the bed and walking toward the kitchen counter.

Lights from the street illuminated the room just enough for her to indulge in a beautiful view of his naked body. Hair a complete mess from her hands and muscles highlighted by streetlights and shadow, Jacques Sinclair was definitely gorgeous.

Hugging her knees to her chest amidst the discarded clothes on the bare mattress, she grinned when he sat next to her and handed her the open bottle.

"What are you smiling about?" He kissed her knee.

"Ways to keep you naked."

"Maybe we should have a nudity policy whenever we are in your apartment."

Her iPhone's ring broke through the silence of the room from where she'd dropped it beside the door. Laughter faded while she debated answering. She knew who it was and knew the right thing to do; she simply didn't want to do it.

Jacques looked toward the ringing. "Is that your boyfriend from the States? Are we having an illicit affair?"

She looked at him then, wine bottle propped between them, and shook her head 'no.' Heart heavier than it had been moments ago, she touched his face with her fingertips. For the next four months this was home and nothing else mattered.

"I picked the right apartment," she whispered.

He moved the wine bottle to the floor before pulling her onto his lap. "Have I sufficiently welcomed you to the neighborhood?"

"I think I need more welcoming."

He pushed her hair away from her face, eyes seeing more than she'd intended him to see in the moonlight, and kissed her with an intensity that set her heart on fire and drowned out the incessant ringing of the phone.

The need to break free of the ties that bound her pushed her toward recklessness. She welcomed the rush. Senses on hypersensitive, she savored the freedom of being exactly who she wanted to be in this moment. The wine, the moonlight, the breeze from the window, the taste of him on her tongue, and the feel of his skin against hers obliterated everything else.

From the back cover....

In between responsibilities and dreams...

Jessica Moriarty has always played by the rules, but for once in her life, she's doing exactly as she pleases. In between graduate school and 'real life', she's in Florence, Italy, indulging her love of art and abandoning inhibitions.

Meeting Jacques Sinclair rocks her off center. Whereas rules and living up to expectations have dictated her life, he is the opposite. A rebel. A photographer. A man who lives for the moment. He sweeps her up into a riveting romance that makes her question all she's ever believed to be true.

The drum of old commitments echo through her heart as time ticks away. Will the crush of 'real life' undermine the love she's found in between...?

This is book one of the two part Dancing Barefoot series and does include a cliffhanger ending.

In Between is currently on sale for 99Cents to introduce you to the series. Take advantage of it while it lasts!

A sample of a few reviews...

4 stars via Avid Reader
"I loved this story.
It was refreshingly honest, brutally tragic, and at times lyrical in it's flow. Their connection was so intense that as I read it, I was like this absolutely cannot survive. Love this intense and in your face has a slow burn to it, and will torch everything in i's path until it is stamped out...There was nothing contrived about it. I felt like I was literally a fly on the wall and this was happening in reality and not fiction land. I liked them both, probably one of the best couples I have ever read"

5 stars via ChristophFischerBooks
"Conflicting emotions and insurmountable chemistry cause both of them to reassess the past, their current lives and priorities. Easton shows the magnetic and hypnotic effect of physical and emotional attraction very well and the gradual crumbling of outer facades and deep inner resolve. This is a romantic fantasy written in a convincing and heart warming manner and with enough complications thrown in to make for a very entertaining and gripping read."

5 stars via Sglas, Amazon reader review:
"Excitement, intrigue, twists and turns! Dancing Barefoot has it all. Very hard to put down."

In Between, Book One, is currently on 99Cents as an introduction to the series. Enjoy!

"Come Undone"

The descent to Warwick’s chambers wasn’t a quick journey. Smooth and steady, the elevator traveled without a sense of urgency or regard to the mounting anticipation that stirred within its confines.

But nothing made much sense in Isla’s world anymore, so an unusually long elevator ride didn’t faze her or bring about an onslaught of questions. She didn’t care where she was descending to or what would lie in her path once they got to their destination.

If anything, she expected the unexpected.

Of course, the whirlwind of events from the last few hours had a lot to do with her unresponsiveness, but the fact that Warwick had her deliciously preoccupied seemed to be the biggest contributing factor.

Pinned against the elevator wall, Isla let Warwick take her lips without so much as a word. Quietly and intently he ravished her, burying his tongue deep in her mouth.

She’d thought she’d been on the receiving end of a passionate kiss before, but the way Warwick took her lips, she felt as if she’d never been kissed in her life. He had a way of demanding more not only from her body, but her soul. His lips did everything to unravel her, bleed her of the desire that flowed through her veins.

“For so long, Isla,” Warwick moaned.

“God, I know.”

“I told Dorian...I promised...” Warwick struggled to complete his sentences as Isla worshiped his mouth. “But I can’t help it. I can’t control myself with you.”

“Then don’t.”

DARK COMPANION

Warwick, an Elite member of the Vampire Architects, was chosen as Isla Joseph’s Protector at the moment of her birth. Four decades later, he struggles to hide the love he harbors for his charge. When the time comes for her to learn of Warwick’s existence, lust is a beast he can’t contain, nor can Isla fight her instant attraction to this mysterious “stranger”. The pair comes together in a frenzied feast of flesh.

But their intimacy has consequences. Consequences for Isla, when she discovers her lover is a vampire…for the team of Architects, who are struggling to save her from a horrific future…for Warwick, when he’s forced to wipe every trace of himself from Isla’s memory.

Isla, Warwick and the Architects will soon discover love isn’t so easily erased. And while fate may have dark designs for Isla…destiny has other plans.

Escape from reality this weekend... welcome to my #sexy & twisted fairy tale. @vampauthormaya #PNR #Erotica #Vampires

Forbidden Fruit Friday

Have you had one of those days that had you wishing your life was more like a romance fairy tale?

Well, I didn't just have one of those days...it was one of those weeks!

So I crave an escape from reality this weekend.
But my fairy tale may look a little different than yours.
For I have a wonderfully warped and twisted take on romance and lustful adventure to whisk me away to excitement land.

Would you like to see?

Read this excerpt from DARK COMPANION and escape, just for a few minutes, from reality.

Welcome to my fairy tale....

DARK COMPANION

Her feet touched the ground, but she felt anything but stable.

Warwick reached for her hand. He guided her out of the elevator as he walked backward, careful not to break eye contact.

Isla followed Warwick, stepping out of the light and into the darkness. Anxiety enveloped her. The darkness suffocated. She gripped Warwick’s hand tightly.

“Let your eyes relax. You will see it.”

“See what?”

“I’ve seen your world. Now it’s time you saw mine.”

Isla’s breaths grew deeper as she concentrated on the blinding darkness in front of her. Slowly, Warwick came into focus, as if clear as day. And behind him, the landscape revealed itself.

A corridor grew by miles the longer she took in her surroundings. The walls were primitive, carved out of the earth. Although the air was calm and tranquil where she stood, streams of blood-red fabric flooded the corridor, billowing and whipping. The sheerness of the fabric allowed the invisible wind to command their movements, as if dancing to a silent melody. Twisting, streaming and rippling, the material moved with a noticeable sensuality, enticing her to travel down the corridor. But she stood frozen, mesmerized by everything her eyes were taking in. She fantasized about what lay at the end of the path.

Suddenly, Warwick picked her up, sweeping her off her feet. He carried her down the corridor, moving effortlessly in a smooth, flowing stride, as if he were gliding through the passage. It was dreamlike, everything moving in slow motion.

The blood-red material blew across them as they made their journey. The touch was enchanting, unlike anything she’d ever felt caressing her skin. It felt like water drenching her one minute, soft human fingertips the next. The farther they traveled, the more humanlike the fabric appeared. Soon it formed long fingers outlining the contours of her face. From her neck, past her cheeks and up to her hairline, the fingers moved sensually, disappearing into the thick of her hair.

Tantalizing and mystifying, the experience proved to be arousing and stimulating. But the dull blade of anxiety sharpened once again, causing a sudden pain to slice through her belly. “What is this?” Isla asked breathlessly.

“They won’t hurt you.”

They? Oh, my god. This shouldn’t be happening.”

Warwick smiled and continued on the path.

Isla worked vehemently to observe everything. She gazed upward, watching the countless pieces of lifelike material flow in wavy patterns, rippling sensually above her. The sea of red painted the darkness with undeniable passion, but also an unavoidable caution.

She tried not to think about it. It was a vampire world she wasn’t yet meant to understand. Though she couldn’t help but wonder what gave the material its energy. There was no wind. From what she could observe, there were no mechanisms or strings controlling their movement.

Unconsciously, Isla’s focus began to center on one particular piece of material in the distance. The undulating movement captured her, sending her into a trance. Just as an outline of something was about to reveal itself, Warwick stopped in his tracks.

She looked all around her.

The fabric hung in place now, stationary and lifeless. Confused, she looked to the walls. No doors existed. Her gaze turned to the path in front of them then past his broad shoulders. No sign of the elevator remained. By all accounts, the space was void of any noticeable destination and provided no rhyme or reason for Warwick’s abrupt halt.

As suddenly as he’d swept her off her feet, she was standing upright, her mind in a daze. Warwick took a few steps back but kept his devilish stare burning right through her. Then, as if given a green light, the fabric back came to life once again, encircling her and Warwick until all she saw was red.

“Warwick?”

“They want to help us.”

Pieces of fabric touched Isla’s skin. She watched as the hands she’d felt earlier materialized again before her eyes. The transformation was astonishing and rendered Isla speechless. A long, rectangular piece of sheer fabric bunched together, forming a tight ball at its end. Slowly, it unraveled to reveal the outline of a hand. Long red fingers, the index and middle, walked their way up her arm teasingly, rounding her shoulder and tickling her clavicle.

Then they slid down to her chest—until they reappeared as a hand cupping and squeezing her breast.

“Oh,” Isla moaned.

More fabric made its way to her body, transforming into hands that massaged, caressed and stroked every inch of her. The sensations on her flesh made her nipples harden upon contact and sent her into a blissful haze.

“Isla, I ache for you.”
