“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”
Lao Tzu

Tell us a little about yourself and your memoir.

Young alias Bernard Foong is, first and foremost, a sensitivist. He finds nuance in everything. To experience the world he inhabits is an adventure which is mystical, childlike and refreshing. He has a rare ability to create beauty in a unique fashion. His palettes have been material, paint, words and human experiences.

My memoir is a series of provocative stories about a young man who was initiated into a clandestine sexual society. He was spirited to the Middle East, from his UK boarding school. He attended the Bahriji School (Oasis,) in The United Arab Emirates in preparation for serving in Harems for the wealthy and elite.

It is also a love story between the young man and his ‘Valet’ who served as his chaperone and mentor during the boy’s Harem service.

I had a privileged and unique upbringing in Malaysia, where I was known as a "sissy boy." Following in my brothers' footsteps, I was sent to an exclusive boarding school in England. It is there that I was inducted into a clandestine organization, E.R.O.S. The Enlightened Royal Oracle Society. For four years, unbeknownst to my family, I was willingly and happily part of a Harem.

What is the hardest thing, to you, about writing a memoir?

Time consuming research to the period I’m writing about.

Writing a memoir or an autobiography is vastly different from writing fictional novels. I’m writing about events, situations and emotional feelings that had happened; of ‘remembrance of things past.’

My outline, inspirations come from an abundance of old photographs, journals/diaries I had kept during the various periods of my life.
In the books, I’ve changed the names and places to protect myself and those involved, the experiences and events that happened are true.

The creative part of my writing are in the dialogue throughout the books. Although I am able to remember the overall gist of what was said, I had to make up the dialogue since it’s been over 40 odd years since these events/situations occurred.

How long, on average, does it take you to write a book?

It takes me approximately 18 months – a year and half to finish one volume/book. I’m writing seven in A Harem Boy’s Saga; a memoir by Young series.

How did you decide which memories and events to include in your memoir? For example, did you tend to shy away from telling either especially ugly or especially dear memories, or did you tell them all?

I write in a chronological order. I tell all. No holds barred. J

You talk about your education in sensuality and sexuality. What do you think most makes a person sexy?

That’s a subjective question. You’ll have to read my books to find out the answers. LOL!

You’ve said that you were gladly whisked away into the harem lifestyle. What first drew you to it?

Read A Harem Boy’s Saga – book I – INITIATION. It will provide you in complete detail to the reasons.

Let’s talk a little about Andy. Your relationship with him was obviously very close. Are the two of you still close?

I reconnected with Andy a few years ago. You’ll have to read book II – UNBRIDLED and book IV – TURPITUDE (which I’m currently writing) to find out the answers. J

How did you first you realize you were in love?

When I was being groomed and observed by Nikee – my first big-brother at my boarding school in England. You’ll find/read the details in INITIATION.

If you had to pick only one, what is your favorite memory together?

This is impossible since my four years of harem experiences are so incredible. It’s impossible to select one particular incident.

Is there any advice you’d give to someone falling in love and beginning a new relationship?

Love freely and unconditionally. Always be honest with yourself and with your beloved. The truth will set you free.

How can readers discover more about you and you work?

He attended the Bahriji School (Oasis,) in The United Arab Emirates in preparation for serving in Harems for the wealthy and elite. It is also a love story between the young man, his ‘Big Brother’ and his ‘Valet’ who served as his chaperones and mentors during the boy’s Harem services. This book follows the boy’s erotic and exotic adventures and experiences at his 2nd Arab Household Harem, the Sekham. He was an apprentice and model, for the household patriarch’s controversial photography project, “Sacred Sex in Sacred Places”. The author's experiences present facts that are truthful. Through these truths, which are often demonized by contemporary societies that deem such behaviors inappropriate, the author hopes to dispel condemnations and negativity which relate to his experiences. Meet the Author

By Christine Maynard (screenwriter and novelist).

"Young alias Bernard Foong is, first and foremost, a sensitivist. He finds nuance in everything. To experience the world he inhabits is an adventure which is mystical, childlike and refreshing. He has a rare ability to create beauty in a unique fashion. His palettes have been material, paint, words and human experiences.

While attending an elite private school in England, some 40 years ago, he was swore into a clandestine sexual society that soon spirited him away to the Middle East to serve in several wealthy and aristocratic harems. He never thought he would be telling his story, but he believe now is the correct time to share his unique experiences.

Although his story is a titillating and an evocative account of the author's adolescent life. It is also a love story between he and his chaperone, Andy, a few years his senior. He was allocated by the School to be the boy's mentor. Both were born into wealthy and privileged families.

He had taken the liberty to change the names of the secret society, people, and places to protect their identities, but had given a truthful and positive chronicle of his harem experiences."

ABOUT THE HOST

Multi-published author Maya DeLeina was born and raised on the beautiful and romantic beaches of Oahu, Hawaii. Relocating to Colorado, Maya's crystal blue oceans and powdery white sands were traded for enchanting forests, mystic mountains and golden plains of promise.

Living just on the outskirts of Manitou Springs, the town's history of spiritual healing, eclectic flare, fabled underground tunnels and rumored lore of wizardry and witchcraft rekindled Maya's love for the paranormal, metaphysical and most of all, vampires. One bite and she was hooked.

With a hint of incense lofting in the air and the majestic Pikes Peak sitting in picture perfect view from her windows, Maya can be found relaxing in the recesses of her comfy couch, sinking her teeth into crafting and weaving seducing and erotic tales of vampires that may or may not roam her beloved town. One read and you'll be hooked!
