~Fantasy Diary Series~
Sink Your Teeth Into This Erotic Paranormal Romance Series

***Book One: Christmas Fantasy***

One bite was all it took.

It’s that time of year again. Alyssa Blakely is busy writing in her fantasy diary, filling it with all her forbidden, sexual fantasies. The star: her very sexy boss, Devin Jordan. Too bad for her, he’s never given her a second glance.

Or so she thought…

After a steamy kiss under the mistletoe and a night of wild sex, Alyssa has the bite to prove just how wrong she was.
Devin Jordan has found his mate. The only problem: she’s human. He’s not. Can he prove to her that his inner beast can be both naughty and nice? Or will her fear of the unknown and a threat neither of them saw coming keep him from claiming her?

***Excerpt***

Devin took a deep, calming breath. Alyssa was off limits. Even if she were single and interested in him, he still couldn’t have her. It was too risky. She made him feel things he wasn’t used to. He didn’t know if he could handle touching her without hurting her.

Hurting Alyssa was something he would never do. He would just have to endure her presence. He would take pleasure in the shy smiles she cast his way every now and again. He would enjoy the laughs they shared while working late some evenings. He would maintain the professional relationship they had, even though he yearned for a taste of her.

Devin turned and placed his back against the window. He stared at the door that separated him from the woman he desired. A piece of metal and space was all that separated his body from hers. It would only take a couple of strides for him to reach the door.

One pull on the door knob and he could send it flying across the room. Then he would be face to face with the one woman in this world that made him wish he wasn’t a beast with a conscience. If he had no conscience, he would take her, now, against his desk, against her desk, against the wall, on every damn hard surface in this building.

He would make sure she enjoyed it. He would make sure he pleased her so thoroughly that she wouldn’t even think of leaving him, even when she found out that he was not the man he pretended to be. Devin sighed, but that would never happen. Because though he was a beast, he did indeed have a conscience

That conscience kept her safe from him… for now.

 ***Book 2: Dark Fantasies***

One kiss was all it took.

Between work, family and her ex-boyfriend, Ashley Blakely is completely stressed out. She doesn’t have time to write in her fantasy diary or compete in the annual ‘fantasy wish’ competition her and her sisters have going. The only thing she wants for Christmas is normalcy.

All hope of a normal Christmas… or life… fly out the window the moment she’s kissed by Kelan Grant. Now she’s swept up in a whirlwind of romance, seduction and danger. She wants no part of this new life. Yet once she finds out that her sisters and her best friend are in jeopardy, she will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Even allow herself to be kidnapped and handcuffed by a devil in disguise.

Dr. Kelan Grant always keeps his word. The moment he lays eyes on Ashley, he vows she will be his for eternity. He doesn’t care that his brother is mated to her sister and wants to keep their real heritage a secret from the Blakely family. Kelan will do whatever it takes to claim his bride.

Kidnapping her is the easy part. Winning her heart is going to take some strategic planning. But between the dark angels stalking him and Ashley’s constant need to break every item in his home, Kelan is having a hard time romancing the woman who he feels already belongs to him.

Will he get the eternity with Ashley he’s envisioned? Or will his enemies snatch her from his grasp and awaken the monster he tries to hide?

***Excerpt***

“Kelan,” Ashley unwrapped the sheet from around her body and watched his chest rise and fall as his eyes roamed over her. “I’m done lying to you and to myself. I’ve wanted to know what you would feel like ever since the moment you approached me at that gas station. Every time you look at me you set me on fire. I keep telling myself it’s the cosmos and fate that is forcing us to have this sort of connection. But I know that’s not all there is to it. You and I… we fit together. You’re just as dark and sometimes disturbing as I am.”
Kelan chuckled. “My darkness is supposed to scare you away not pull you closer.”
“It does scare me. But it also excites me. You excite me, you and your beast. Tonight, I want to let you both have me.”
His body shivered and his eyes turned black.
“But before we do things your way, I want to do them my way. Kelan, I want to taste you.”
He closed his eyes. Ashley smiled. Damn his reactions turned her on just as much as his tongue did. She reached forward and touched his leg. He jerked away from her. She quickly brought her hand back into her lap.
“Not yet,” he told her. “I need to,” he rubbed his hands over his face. “I need to calm down.”
She didn’t want him calm. She wanted him the opposite of calm.
“You don’t have to be calm,” she told him. “I like it rough, I like you rough.”
He raised his head and stared at her for a long time. So long that she felt she may have said something wrong.
“I don’t want to hurt you Ashley.”
“You won’t,” even though she said those words she wasn’t so sure about them.
“I want you so bad. It’s all I think about. It’s all I dream about. But I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t just fuck Ashley, I feed also. I don’t know if I can fuck you without wanting to slip my fangs into you.”
She’d expected that. “What good would a hard dick be without hard fangs,” she joked.
Kelan burst out laughing. She found herself laughing with him.
“You’re the perfect mate Ashley Blakely.”

About Siren Allen

Hi, my name is Siren Allen. I’m a writer and lover of all things erotic and romantic. I reside in southern Mississippi where I write steamy romances that are guaranteed to make you blush. When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.

I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children… yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer, you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be.

In my imaginary world, I am Queen and my siblings are my minions.
I don’t cook, I tried it once, didn’t work out for me. My husband however, loves to cook. Which is one of the qualities that drew me to him. My weekends are spent writing and having sleep-overs for my wonderful nieces and nephews. I don’t know the feeling of motherhood but if it’s anything close to what I feel for my nieces and nephews then I know it is an intense unbreakable bond that can never, ever be severed. Yep, I love those kids that much and more.

Though I love them, they are not allowed at my website, lol.

PLAYING WITH #VAMPIRE FOLKLORE FOR YOUR #READING PLEASURE -PART I @VAMPAUTHORMAYA #EROTICA #MUSTREAD

Playing with vampire folklore for your reading pleasure

Culture and history contribute to characteristic variances in vampire folklore. You'll hear about the garlic, read tales about the damaging crosses or stake through the heart in one instance, but find they're not applicable in others. And it's because of these variances that vampire genre of books and movies have differences in their plots and character development. The vampire traits are so diverse that Wikipedia has it's on chart page dedicated solely to vampire traits:

Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vampire_traits_in_folklore_and_fiction

Within my own bookshelf, I created different vampire traits in each series/book because i love diversity.

Knowing that vampire lovers are drawn to certain traits, I'm sharing an overview of the vampires in my first series, Ambrose Heights Vampires. In the upcoming weeks, I'll share more of my vampire traits within other series/books on my bookshelf as well as what is on the horizon for the ever-loving creature of the night.

Rest assured, you'll won't find a trait listed here that mentions "Sparkling".

Enjoy!

Ambrose Heights Vampires - Vampire trait/Characteristics /abilities

Anya and Vampire Leader- Steffan from VEIL OF SEDUCTION

  • Attractive, Alluring, Mysterious
  • Sensual - sexually charged and adventerous

Anya and Steffan- VEIL OF SEDUCTION

  • Has mate pairing capabilities
  • The eyes- The Sclera of the eyes changes colors for a brief moment during the turning. The color reflected is like a "code" for their moral makeup. This color allows the maker to see what his/her newborn is made of so they  can develop a unique map in the upbringing of each vampire.

  • Drinks artificial blood for sustenance, but are responsible drinkers if they take from humans.
Anya from VEIL OF SEDUCTION

  • The vampire family in this series has created an injection that distributes synthetic melanin and a pill that serves as a digestive tract. These are, however, temporary. It gives the vampires the power to feel human again, for up to six hours, only to have it slip away by the seventh hour. The compounds to create these serums have a damaging long term effect if they are used back-to-back, so no vampire knows a full day of being human.

Rain- FLESH FANTASY

  • Sought after blood on the black market that is sold in hollowed pieces of amber.
  • Insulin-laced blood infuses unique qualities in vampires.
  • Reflect in mirrors.

Rhys- FLESH FANTASY
  • Have mind-bending, altering capabilities
  • Turning a human to a vampire is a step-by-step process that may include feeding through the jugular and femoral artery if the newborn is to be "mated" to them.
  • Live by a set "creed"- rules and laws that have consequences for non compliance
Rhys and Rain- FLESH FANTASY
  • They have given names after their turning. Their names have meanings reflective of their nature or role in a family.
  • Vampires strive to be a family or a "nest" and not nomads.
  • After their turning, vampires may not retain a clear memory of their mortal life.
  • Mortals already mated to another vampire are off-limits to the vampire creed.
Anya and Steffan- VEIL OF SEDUCTION
  • Positive tissue match recognition capabilities.
  • Lives in a gated community that sits high on a mountain, overlooking Manitou Springs.
  • Uses underground tunnel systems for travel and subterranean rooms to  house different facilities.
  • Mind sharing capabilities with mates.
Rain and Rhys- FLESH FANTASY
Armand- FLESH FANTASY
  • Utilizes symbols in VFSN (Vampire-Friendly social networking sites) to identify other vampires.
  • Touch recognition
  • Owns and manages a string of nightclubs in Denver
Madeline- VEIL OF SEDUCTION
  •  Telling recognition- the power to elicit truth
  •  .....And other cool abilities that you'll have to read about!

Ambrose Heights Vampire Series Trailer

Flesh Fantasy
Tonight, Rain Calisto searches for her man, and Rhys Matthews comes into focus. He is well-built and sinisterly sexy. In the same Denver nightclub, Armand Anastasio searches for his woman—Rain.
But the men are more than gorgeous.

They are vampires, and they are unmated.

A chance encounter lands Rhys and Rain together. Their attraction remains undeniably powerful and they fall prey to lust. With each passionate tryst, Rhys senses a connection that goes beyond the flesh.

Unbeknownst to Rhys, Rain is a diabetic. Her insulin alters her biological makeup, disguising a revelation he isn't quite prepared for. Rain is Rhys's fated mate.
As they struggle with this knowledge, another bombshell is dropped. Rain's insulin-laced tissue creates a rare vampiric blood that can fetch a hefty profit, and Armand has always known this.

Is his attraction to Rain genuine, or is he just out for her blood?

This is the diary of Rain and Rhys. Recorded here is their transformation from a flesh fantasy to eternal love. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

Veil of Seduction
A newborn vampire. A powerful leader. An inconsolable woman.
The shaping of their eternity all lies within the eyes.

Steffan Matthews is the devastatingly handsome vampire leader of Ambrose Heights. He cultivates social order and invents concoctions that allow vampires to feel human once again. But Steffan also has a devouring obsession that brings him to his knees.

Her name is Anya.

Steffan sets out to claim Anya, a mortal ripe for the taking, as his mate. But the blackness in the eyes of his newborn should've served as a warning.

Anya is off-limits according to the vampire creed.

It will take the strength of the kinship, the purity of love, a hint of magic, and a subterranean guardian to shield Steffan against the wrath of Ryan Evans, protect him from the fate of the Nemesis, and bridge a passage to his rightful destiny. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

Laughter, Sex, and an All-Around Good Time #AuthorInterview #RomanticSuspense

Do you like to have fun? Well, today we have a treat for you thanks to guest author, Jackie Williams!

Welcome to Tempt Me Tuesday on Mile High Muses. I try to keep the interviews simple so you'll hopefully come back one day. :) I appreciate your time.

Can you begin by telling us about your new release?

I’ve just typed The End on my latest Regency Mystery Romance novel, A Murderous Masquerade.

It’s the second in my ‘Unrivalled Regency’ Series and a follow on from my best selling Silence of Scandal.

Each book is a whole story but the characters from the previous novel appear in the second so it’s best to read them in order to fully appreciate the characters. I don’t tend to do a lot of going back over old ground in my books. I like them up and running right from the first word so I don’t go back and reintroduce the previous characters overly much, although I do remind readers who they are.

What inspired this story idea?

Fired up by the old imagination again. In Silence of Scandal my hero’s best friend, Giles Denvers was instrumental in all the goings on. Giles deserved his own love story.

Did a lot of research go into it?

The Regency genre was new to me as a writer. I’d always loved reading it but I had never realized how much research goes into it.

It’s the little things that make the difference…Can’t light a fire with a match – they weren’t invented until much later. Can’t send a message very quickly as we are still relying on horse power. Can’t unzip a dress or run a bath…Even buttons on breeches become complicated. Then we have to ask ourselves about the staff…Do we have a butler or a majordomo? Does the lady of the house have a maid or an Abigail? And then there’s the titles and lines of inheritance! Don’t even ask! It goes on and on.

I have a new respect for those that write in the genre. It’s not easy to get it right.

Care to share some of your favorite lines from the novel?

‘He managed to breathe out her name just once before his mouth covered hers, and he plundered every recess with the abandon of a starving man being offered a banquet.’

‘His fall was dangerously tented and he decided that sitting would probably be his best, if uncomfortable option, until the ill timed intrusion was sent away or his riotous blood supply could be brought back under control.’

‘The sound of those two names was enough for Giles and he let out a low groan of despair as his ardour cooled quicker than an eyelid could blink.’

I Love those lines…Poor guy. All that pent up passion!

Do you feel that you can relate to one character in this book more than the others? If so, why?

I do actually. Giles is unexpectedly made guardian of his young and very beautiful cousin, Charlotte. She plays a huge role in the book and is charmingly delightful. Giles loves her very much.

I think I like her because she is so vivacious and independent. Nothing is going to stop her reaching her goals in life regardless of her being a woman and in dire financial straits. Women were so undervalued at that time in history. To have someone in my story who wasn’t the usual ‘ninny’ felt important to me.

What is your writing space like? Do you need quiet or do you prefer background noise?

Organized chaos describes it perfectly! I know where everything is so I don’t mind it at all. It’s just was well that I live alone though. If anyone was to touch anything I’d go bonkers!

I like to be quiet…I sometimes put on my music playlist but not very often. MUSE and 30 Seconds to Mars are not really conducive to Regency romance. I save them for when I am writing my military series.

What is the most daring thing or experience that you've done that you wouldn't mind sharing with us?

Ooh er! I do lots of daft and daring things…They are not intrepid explorer type things though. Just stuff that’s a bit outrageous.

Last year I shoved dog poo through the open window of some French guy’s car after he encouraged his enormous dog to pee up the back of my vehicle. After he had walked his dog on (leaving the dirty great thing’s pee all up the back of my car and its doo doo in the middle of the pavement) the rude guy went shopping. I picked up the poop (in a carrier bag) and tipped it through the gap he had left in his driver’s door window.  I made sure that the poop fell out of the bag too! Two French ladies who had watched the whole episode, applauded me!

I also sunbathe naked in my back garden at my house in France.  It’s very private and there are no close neighbours, but I was a little surprised once last year when a delivery guy suddenly appeared to ask if I would take in a parcel for the next person up the street. It was a case of positioning my very small towel and my kindle very quickly! The poor man didn’t know where to look and is probably still traumatised by the experience!

You have me laughing out loud after those examples! Thanks for sharing! Is there a motto/wisdom in life that you live by? Or a favorite inspirational quote?

I don’t know if it’s a quote but I do think that moaning about things doesn’t help a situation…

“Get off your backside and make something happen!”  Seems to work for me.

There’s another one that I like too. It particularly applies to people who are unsatisfied with their looks and who do mad, drastic, unnecessary things to parts of themselves that no one else ever bothered to notice…

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

LOVE it, Jackie! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today. I'm thrilled to have you.

Background and Snippet from A Murderous Masquerade

Lady Anne Chartris and  Mister Giles Denvers had just a few flirtatious moments together in Silence of Scandal, but they were clearly made for one another.
A Murderous Masquerade takes their story forward, but as usual the path of true love is never an easy one.

With Giles facing the hangman's noose, and Anne frantic to avoid marriage to one of her father's aging cronies, desperate measures are called for.

Can Giles' best friend and confidant,  Alexander, Duke of Ormond, save the day or will Giles end  up as just an unfortuante gentleman sent to an early grave due to the primped up pride of Anne's young brother, Lord  Edward Ellesworth.

Will she ever be able to forgive her family for stealing her chance at love and will Giles even have a chance to live?

But the mysteries don't end there.

Add to the delicious mix of romance and intrigue, a beautiful young cousin, a very noble intention and a diamond as big as a walnut and we have the makings of a ripping Regency yarn!

A short snippet of Chapter One from A Murderous Masquerade just to whet your appetite!

Chapter One

One year, ten months and twenty two days!

The actual hours he hadn’t bothered counting since the day he’d first met Lady Anne, his best friend’s widowed sister in law, but they hardly signified as he hadn’t been carrying a watch when he first set eyes on her.
Giles Denvers was about to run his finger around the inside of his over tight cravat when he remembered his valet come butler’s dire warning. Craddock was a positive demon when pontificating over creases or even worse, a dreaded grease mark. He touched his lonely diamond cravat pin, paced across the over warm room for what felt like the fiftieth time, and thanked his stars that he didn’t need padding at his shoulders as he felt the perspiration begin to bead on his brow.

He knew that it was the fashion to keep a gentleman waiting for upwards of ten minutes, but after all the waiting he had already endured he rather hoped that Lady Anne would be keen to see him. He took his handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed it across his forehead. Wouldn’t do to look like a nervous fop when it came time to do the deed, he thought as he paced the room yet again.

He glanced at the clock once again and then felt his heart surge as he heard a light footstep outside the door. He would have known it anywhere.

The door swung open and a vision of beauty wearing the softest shades of emerald green floated in on a waft of delicately perfumed air. Her rich, chestnut curls cascaded over one ivory shoulder and onto the exposed upper curve of her creamy white breast. He swallowed the sensation rising in his chest that begged him to immediately drag her into his arms and kiss those ruby red lips relentlessly and instead, walked calmly towards her. He took her hand as she dropped her silk gloves and fan onto the table inside the door. Sweet pain sliced through him as he realized that he was about to kiss her unadorned hand and for the first time in his life he actually thought he might pass out.
For a whole year after her husband’s death, she had worn the severest black and for the next twelve months, the deepest purple. No one could ever fault her or say that Lady Anne Chartris hadn’t taken her mourning seriously, but now the two years were over and the paleness of her gown and the brightness of her smile proved it.

Giles lifted her over-warm hand and felt hers tremble on his palm. It was all he could do not to sweep her into his arms, take her to the nearest bedroom and ravish her until the next millennium, but he held his nerve and slowly lifted her hand as he listened to her own gentle breaths. He had waited this long, he could wait a few seconds longer. He breathed in deeply, his heart aching and throbbing violently as her scent invaded his entire body before he let his lips burn a path across her delicate skin.

Flames of passion instantly raged through him as he found that the world had stilled, life outside this room no longer existed, and the universe had ceased to spin. It was just him and her and he couldn’t step back or let her go. He could hear her breathing, fast and shallow and he at last lifted his head and gazed into those beautiful, meadow green eyes. He could see the deep and tender feeling she held displayed openly to him and in a sudden fit of daring he moved his hand to her waist.
If she was surprised at his boldness, she never showed it. He pulled her nearer to him and lowered his head. Her eyes dipped closed, heavy lashes sweeping over her blushing cheeks and he could wait no longer.

The first delicate touch of their lips was so shocking that she gasped. He didn’t hesitate, couldn’t. The time had long since passed for delay. He managed to breathe out her name just once before his mouth covered hers and he plundered every recess with the abandon of a starving man being offered a banquet.

It seemed that she wanted to join the repast.

More about the author...

I was born in Essex England during the mid sixties but I missed all the fun. Being only young I assumed that all Beatles were six legged creatures and Flower Power was something to do with the vigorous way my mother kneaded the bread dough.

My wonderful parents brought me up with a huge love of books. We read anything and everything. Bedtime stories were a treasured time of adventure and mystery. My sister and I sat wide eyed in wonder and to this day I worry about Dinah and Dorinda being pricked with pins because they grew so fat, and I never pull faces at the a waning moon (or was it a waxing one?) just in case my chops stay that way . (The Wind On The Moon)

I began reading romance while still at school. The fuel for many a teenage fantasy leapt from between the covers of wildly romantic books and my passion still lingers now for all those dark haired heroes.

My own beautiful, teenage daughter persuaded me to write my first romance. She was only fourteen at the time and between books for children and adults. She couldn't find anything that ticked all her numerous and particular boxes and so she asked me to write a book, with all the exact ingredients just for her. Though not just a book for teens, she enjoyed the resulting tale so much that she shared it with her friends and I eventually published A Perfect Summer as an ebook on amazon.

But I have discovered that writing is not easily stopped once you start. It has turned into a grand passion that I just cannot hold back. The fingertips start tapping the keys and ideas suddenly come flooding, far too many for just one book and so I began another and then another. Fourteen books later I am still nowhere near done. Book fifteen is on its way and only just the other night I woke from a wild and wonderful dream with book sixteen fully formed in my head.

Romance will always be my first love, but recently I was so influenced by a tiny polished plaque on a sea wall that I gave paranormal romance a try. (Echo Beach) Mixing the two genres was a real challenge for me but I was delighted with the result.

Historical romance is going to be my continuing genre. After the success of my first Regency book, I am completely hooked. All those fabulously titled and passionate men are impossibly hard to resist.

I hope you enjoy all of my efforts and I look forward to your comments and reviews.
